Short-Term Investment, Long-Term Growth
The Grommet is an online marketplace dedicated to “fundamentally chang[ing] the way people launch, discover, share, and purchase products.” They introduce early-stage products to eager consumers, allowing products to gain visibility and success by tapping into a community of early adopters.
The Grommet came to MacGyver Marketing needing to optimize its marketing strategies. Instagram and Facebook advertising were key revenue generators for the business. But because Grommet’s catalog was filled with errors, Facebook’s AI couldn’t show the right product to the right audience. This resulted in poor advertising performance and missed opportunities, a serious concern as the holiday season approached.
CEO and co-founder Jules Pieri brought Rebecca on as the interim Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). The company needed a strategic partner to rapidly assess the situation and develop an actionable, results-driven plan.
MacGyver Marketing’s Strategy:
Audit & Alignment
Reviewed all current activities to identify key areas where quick action could yield significant results.
Focused Ad Campaigns
Once the catalog errors were corrected, MacGyver Marketing crafted targeted ad campaigns that directly aligned with The Grommet’s goals, leading to better cost efficiency and a significant increase in return on ad spend (ROAS).
Optimized Catalog for Social Ads
Worked closely with The Grommet’s product and engineering teams to resolve catalog issues.
Staff Coaching & Development
Beyond driving immediate results, MacGyver Marketing also mentored The Grommet’s internal team. Rebecca worked closely with staff to build long-term marketing capabilities and ensure growth beyond her involvement.
The Results
Through this partnership, The Grommet benefited from short-term performance boosts and long-term strategic insights, setting the stage for sustained success.
Client Feedback
Jules Pieri praised Rebecca’s expertise and partnership:
“It was exceptional to have somebody of Rebecca’s breadth of experience available to cover so many aspects of our marketing… You can look in someone’s eyes and recognize who is an owner. Rebecca will own your business the way an internal employee will own it long-term. We trusted Rebecca to manage our employees. She handled those relationships like she was their permanent manager. She paid as much attention to the people as to the data and the results.”
